PEER GROUP TEN: An online peer group for long distance trainees. Ten hours of peer group credit is earned by active participants. on a one time basis
The HEALING FOUNTAIN (or The Healing Waters)
Earn fifty hours of Didactic credits as well as peer group hours while gaining experience in facilitating poetry
. This course is based on the book edited by Chavis and Weisberger
The Healing Fountain: Poetry Therapy for Life’s Journey. This book is required reading for trainees.
POETIC FORMS AND DEVICES: Poetry as a Symphony; Poetry as a Container. Earn 20 didactic hours and achieve the study of poetic forms as a Core Competency. In this course you learn poetic forms and try out writing in each form. Each course member will receive material compiled by Lila and Nessa McCasey.
Abnormal Psychology: Words on a Hat Abnormal Psychology Through Poetry. Each course member will receive material compiled by Lila and text book assignments.
GROUP PROCESS
When a trainee is required to study group process I recommend a course be taken in a local college. As an alternative I assign texts and readings and teach group process to my trainees.
